Representatives also engage with young people and their families in their neighborhoods as well as at schools, juvenile detention centers and apartment buildings.
These multi-pronged efforts received recognition with the Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) 2024 Inspire Award, which “honors a provider, entity or community partner that exemplifies our Mission, ‘We heal and inspire the human spirit.’”
The all-encompassing services offered by Neighborhood Healthcare – along with the organization’s commitment to serve in the IE – were among the reasons it received the IEHP 2024 Vibrant Health Award, which “honors a provider, entity or community partner that exemplifies engagement with the well-being and joyful life of Inland Empire residents.”
Healthcare in Action (HIA) is a nonprofit organization and associated medical group that uses mobile clinics to reach unhoused people.
Since 2021, HIA has treated over 6,000 patients with comprehensive medical care, behavioral health care and substance abuse support as well as helped house over 450 individuals.
These impacts and more are among the reasons HIA received the Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) 2024 Creativity & Innovation Award, which “honors a provider, entity and community partner that exemplifies the courage to ‘break the mold’ in pursuit of innovative ways to address the health concerns of Inland Empire residents. This is demonstrated by daring to experiment and do something to truly shift the paradigm.”
Dr. Romeo Jamil Samouh wins the Inland Empire Health Plan (IEHP) 2024 Optimal Care Award for his above-and-beyond service to patients at his family medical practice in San Bernardino County.
As an immigrant himself, Dr. Samouh knows what it’s like to navigate a new country and new experiences, which is why he and his team ensure care is available in various languages.
